Chaitra Basant Navratri, Gudi Padwa\/ Ugadi\/ Navratri 2024 is one of the three and a half significant periods of Sade Teen Muhurat to start an event or a venture. People keep Navdurga Vrat and perform Puja, Havan, or Hom to please nine forms of Ma Durga.<\/p>\n

Chaitra Basant Navratri or Navratri 2024 is one of the major spring festivals in India. Chaitra Navratri is also known as Vasant Navratri, Yugadi, Samvatsar Padavo, Cheti Chand or Navareh.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two popular Navratri in a year-Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri and two Gupt Navratri, out of all the four Navratri.<\/p>\n

These popular Navratri are Chaitra Basant Navratri and Sharad Navratri\/ Sharadiya\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chaitra Basant Navratri 2024<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Vasant Navratri or Chaitra Navratri begins on Pratipada, April 09, and ends on Navami, April 17. Navratri Paran day is on April 18, 2024.<\/p>\n

Gupt Navratri<\/h2>\n

There are two Gupt Navratri (secret Navratri), Magh Gupt Navratri and Ashadha Gupt Navratri.<\/p>\n

Magh Gupt Navratri 2024<\/h3>\n

People observe two Gupt Navratri for performing Puja, Mantra Siddhi, and chanting Mantra secretly to please Goddess.<\/p>\n

The first Gupt Navratri is Magh Gupt Navratri, which commences in the Magh Maas. Magh Gupt Navratri begins on Magh Shukla Paksha Pratipada.<\/p>\n

This Navratri begins on February 10, 2024, and ends on Monday, February 18, 2024.<\/p>\n

Ashadha Gupt Navratri 2024<\/h3>\n

The other Gupt Navratri is observed in Ashadha Maas. Ashadha Gupt Navratri starts on July 06 Saturday, Ashadha Shukla Paksha Pratipada (Purnima). This Gupt Navratri ends on July 15, Monday, 2024.<\/p>\n

Chaitra Basant Navratri or Gudi Padwa or Ugadi, Chaitra Navratri 2024<\/span><\/h3>\n

Vikram Samvat 2081 (Lunar Hindu New Year) or Marathi Vikram Samvat 2081, Ananda begins on Chaitra Pratipada (Padawa) on Tuesday, April 09, 2024.<\/p>\n

Chaitra Navratri begins on the first day of the waxing moon or Shukla Paksha Pratipada in the lunar month of Chaitra.<\/p>\n

Navratri ends after Ram Navami Havan, which fa on 17th April 2024 on Ram’s birth anniversary.<\/p>\n

(The last day of Navratri Puja is called Navratri Paran, after a nine-day fast on 18th April 2024)<\/p>\n

Arival of Maa<\/strong>\u00a0Durga<\/strong>, Chaitra Navratri\/ Basant Navratri, Tuesday, 09 April, 2024<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Generally, Maa Durga’s vehicle is a lion. But it keeps changing when Maa comes to earth.<\/p>\n

Maa Durga arrives on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.<\/p>\n

Results of arrival on a horse (Tuesday):<\/b><\/p>\n

The arrival on a horse is not auspicious, as Maa Durga is arriving on a Tuesday. Political unrest, war, natural calamities, increased diseases, or pandemics. People will not be happy due to the increased problems in their daily life.<\/p>\n

The departure of Maa Durga, on 17th April 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maa Durga departs on Wednesday (elephant).<\/span><\/p>\n

This departure day falls on a Wednesday,\u00a0 \u00a0which is auspicious, but there will be heavy rains this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ram Navami falls on the ninth day during the Chaitra Navratri or Vasant Navratri festival. Navami Puja Muhurat<\/strong> (Lord Rama\u2019s birthday)<\/strong><\/p>\n

11: 03 AM to 01: 38 PM, which is\u00a0in Abhijit Muhurat on Wednesday, 17 April 2024.<\/p>\n

Chaitra Navratri\/ Basant Navratri festival in different states of India <\/strong><\/h2>\n

In India, people celebrate Chaitra Shukla Paksha Padwa, differently. This is Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra, Navareh in Kashmir, which is the Hindu New Year, Sajibu Nongma Panda, Cheiraoba, and Rongali Bihu in North-East India.<\/p>\n

Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and other parts of South India celebrate the day as Ugadi.<\/p>\n

Sindhi people celebrate it as Jhulelal Jayanti or Cheti Chand on the second day of Chaitra Shukla Paksha.<\/p>\n

This festival is also celebrated as Navareh, Sajibu Nongma Panda, Cheiraoba, and Rangoli Bihu in North-East India.<\/p>\n

Vaisakhi 2024<\/h3>\n

In Punjab, the Vaisakhi celebrations will be on 14th April 2024, which is also the Hindu Nav Varsha or New Year, based on the Solar calendar.<\/p>\n

Chaitra Navratri festival celebrations in other states are as follows:<\/p>\n

Pana Sankranti in Orissa and Pohela Boishakh (Naba Barsha) in West Bengal on 15th April, 2024.<\/p>\n

Puthandu in Tamil Nadu, Bihu in Assam, and other northeastern states, though the dates for these festivals are different.<\/p>\n

Himachal Day will be celebrated on April 15, 2024.<\/p>\n

The pleasant season due to the Sun\u2019s influence on earth with the end of spring and the beginning of autumn is most significant and auspicious for the devotion of Lord Rama and Goddess Durga (Goddess of Shakti).<\/p>\n

People observe fast, worship, and do prescribed rituals for eight or nine days after performing Ghatasthapana.d<\/p>\n

The first thing to do is worship or Puja of Lord Ganesha.<\/p>\n

During the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri or Vasant Navratri and Sharad Navratri, nine forms of Goddess Maa Durga are worshipped.<\/p>\n

The method of Ghatasthapana and Puja of Goddess Durga is the same as the Kalash Sthapana and Puja in Ashwin Sharadiya Navratri or Maha Navratri.<\/p>\n

On Chaitra Navami, the last day of Navratri, Maa Siddhidatri (all the nine forms of Maa Durga), devotees worship by chanting Mantra \u201dOm Siddhidatri Durgayai Namah!!\u201d.<\/p>\n

Havan should be done with barley and black sesame seeds (Jau and Til).<\/p>\n

People invite nine or eleven children (seven or nine girls and at least two boys) for a feast or Kanya Bhoj at the devotee\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

They give money and clothes as a donation. Then they remove Kalash and Nariyal (coconut) from the place of Kalasha Sthapana.<\/p>\n

The holy water of Kalash is sprinkled on Gudi Padwa or Samvatsar Padavo 2024\/ Vikram Samvat 2081 in all parts of the house for Maa Durga\u2019s blessings.<\/p>\n

This Chaitra Shukla Paksha Navami is also celebrated by Hindus as the birthday of Lord Rama, known as the Ram Navami festival.<\/p>\n

Generally, people perform Puja and Havan after 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM, by reciting Bal Kanda from Ramayana in most of the cities of North India and different parts of the world.<\/p>\n

Gudi Padwa or Samvatsar Padavo 2024\/ Vikram Samvat 2081<\/h2>\n

Gudi Padwa is one of the auspicious Sade Teen Mahurat that falls under the significant Sadhe Teen Muhurat Akshaya Tritiya, Gudi Padwa, Vijaya Dashami, and half of Bali Pratipada.<\/p>\n

According to the Hindu calendar, the Marathi New Year or Vikram Samvat 2081 begins on Tuesday, April 09 2024.<\/p>\n

Gudi means flag or Dhwaj, and Padwa means Pratipada(Prathama) or the new Moon day.<\/p>\n

In Maharashtra and Konkan, people observe Gudi Padwa as the first day of the year, which is based on the Luni-solar calendar or Surya Siddhanta.<\/p>\n

This Tithi considers the position of the Moon and the position of the Sun dividing the year into months and days.<\/p>\n

That is why the Hindu New Year is celebrated twice in the year with different names and at two different times in the year.<\/p>\n

On this day new Samvatsar begins, and these Samvatsar have a unique name.<\/p>\n

The festival Gudi Padwa begins with a ritual oil bath followed by prayers. Oil baths and eating Neem leaves are the most important rituals suggested in the scriptures.<\/p>\n

North Indians also eat Neem with Mishri on the first day of Navratri.<\/p>\n

The Gudi Padwa celebrations were started by the great warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji after his victory, it symbolises victory or \u2018Vijay Dhwaj\u2019.<\/p>\n

Ghatasthapna Muhurat 2024 for Chaitra Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chandra, and Ugadi is the same festival,\u00a0 according to the local sunrise of that place. It should be done before the Hindu midday during Tithi Pratipada.<\/p>\n

Kalash Sthapana or Ghatasthapana on Chaitra Navratri, Ugadi, Ghatasthapana, Gudi Padwa is on Chaitra Pratipada Tithi which begins on April 09, 2024, this year.<\/p>\n

Chaitra Navratri or Vasant Navratri Ghata Sthapana\/ Kalashsthapana Mahurat 2024 auspicious time<\/h4>\n

The best promising Muhurata for Ghatasthapana is as follows:<\/p>\n

Auspicious Ghatasthapana Muhurata for Navratri Puja, Gudi Padwa, and Yugadi is from 06:02 AM to 10: 16 AM (I.S.T.) after sunrise on 09-4-2024, during Brahma Muhurat and Meen Lagna (Dwisvabhava Rashi).<\/span><\/p>\n

The next auspicious Muhurat is Abhijit Muhurat, as Abhijit Muhurat is also promising for Kalash Sthapana. Abhijit Muhurat’s time is from 11: 57 AM to 12: 48 PM. (IST)<\/p>\n

Last day of Chaitra Navratri 2024<\/h4>\n

Usually, the 9th and last day of Navratri Puja happens on Ram Navami.<\/p>\n

The 10th day is the last day or Parana(ending). This will be on April 17, 2024, after Durga Navami or nine days of Puja rituals or Vrat, which is Chaitra Navratri Parana Day. The time is after 05:31 AM (IST).<\/p>\n

Thus the auspicious Chaitra Navratri celebrations are continuous for nine days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
