Saturn’s 7½ year’s sojourn or Shani ki Sade Sati and Saturn’s 2½ years transit or Dhayya are believed to be most feared beliefs in Vedic Indian astrology.Shani ki Sade Sati is based on the position of birth Moon sign, present at the time of birth of an individual in his/her birth chart and the transit of Saturn through three consecutive signs i.e., one sign before the natal Moon, native’s own birth moon sign or radix Moon(Janam Chandra Rashi) and one sign after the natal Moon i. e. 12th house, 1st house and 2nd house from birth Moon posited in his/her astrological chart.
The pain and difficulties we have been facing due to the impact of Sade Sati or Shani Dhaiya in the past months or years make us disciplined and enhance our awareness for our future. We look deeply into ourselves more honestly and seriously to find what went wrong with us.Where did we commit the mistake and where was our fault. The obstacles and limitations that come into our way are only tools to provoke us and make us reassess our way of living and think again about our motivations and future plans and the ways in which we could improve our actions to fulfill our desires and achieve our target.
Our hard work, increased efforts and enhanced courage to face the difficult phase of life, due to failures in the past, would certainly open up new doors and shape us into stronger human beings. Saturn will bless us with spiritual harmony and material success and we may achieve something big we had been craving for a long time.
Saturn’s transit in Sagittarius in 2017
Impact of Saturn(Shani)Sade Sati and Shani Dhaiya: Sade means half and Sati means seven years, thus Sade Sati means seven and half years troublesome period while Shani Dhaiya means two and half years troublesome period due to the transit of Saturn in 4th or 8th house from an individual’s Birth Moon sign or Chandra Rashi. Shani Dhaiya is also known as Kantaka Shani or small Panoti (small trouble).
In other words, the transit of Saturn in three consecutive signs, one sign before the natal Moon (12th house), in the same sign posited by the natal Moon (1st house) and one sign after the natal Moon (2nd house) in an individual’s horoscope for around 7½years ( Saturn transits in a sign for 2 ½ years) the person is said to be in effect of Saturn’s 7½ years sojourn or Shani Sade Sati.
Due to the effects of transit of Saturn in 4th house or 8th house from natal Moon or Janam Chandra posited in a person’s astrological birth chart, a person is said to be in ill-effect of Shani Dhaiya. It can also be calculated from ascendant but results obtained through birth Moon signs will be better.
